Josh was a very special young man, he touched so many lives. He was well loved by everyone who knew him. He was kind to everyone and always sensed when someone was having a bad day. He will be in the hearts of his friends forever.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family for a long time to come.

I graduate from JFK in 2000 when Josh was a soph. although I only knew him a couple of years a friendship formed and I will never forget the kinda of person Josh was. Being at his memorial service really made me think about how I am leading my life and if i were to die tomorrow would I have accomplished the things Josh did and would I have touched as many people as deeply as he did. I will miss you Josh and thanks for that encouraging talk in the parking lot my sr. year. Love and Prayers to the family.

I was in choir with Josh in his Junior year, and before he got sick in his Senior. He was such a great friend. He always inspired me to do my best and try hard in choir. I saw how great of a performer he was, and I wanted to do that. I will always remember him singing "Happy Birthday" to me in Denny's on the choir's LA trip. I will miss him so much. Choir, or even JFK, will never be the same without Josh. I miss you Josh!

Josh had many dreams and i think that since he didn't get to suceed in them, that i should try to do it for him. I love you Josh.

MY DAUGHTER STEPHANIE WAS IN THE CHOIR WITH JOSH AT KENNEDY AND SHE WAS VERY SAD, CRUSHED, WHEN THE ANNOUNCEMENT CAME. SHE WILL BE SINGING FOR JOSH AT FIRST BAPTIST ALONG WITH THE OTHER CHOIR MEMBERS.
MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE FAMILY AT THIS TIME.

I'm a student at John F. Kennedy and a fellow student with Josh. Even tough I didn't know Jose, I still felt that I lost someone I knew. If I would have met him, things would have been different. Since he was a student at J.F.K., he'll always be remembered as a true COUGAR! Now Josh will be watching over all of us at Kennedy. God bless.
Rest in Peace Josh.

I was very sorry to hear that your son lost his battle with cancer at such a tender age. I am also sorry that you are now bereaved parents, siblings, and grandparents. We lost one of our 6 month old twin boys to kidney failure on 12/5/97, and we have never been the same. The only saving grace is that his twin Tommy is fine and he has his sister Megan to guide him through pre-K and "stuff". I am very actively involved in TCF-The Compassionate Friends in northern New Jersey. We used live in Fair Oaks. Please e-mail me if you wish to or join me in the compassionate friends chat room. I moderate on Sat/Sun/wed nites.
Sincerely,
Janet R. McPhee
