Rosary and memorial service on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. at Nicoletti, Culjis, and Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd.; Sacramento, Calif., with reception to follow. Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, 1017 11th Street; Sacramento, Calif. Julianne wanted everyone to wear something pink, her favorite color. She loved tulips and roses.

Julie and I had been friends since elementary school. I have lots of treasured memories of sleepovers and birthday parties and eating pizza together. She was a very special friend.

Julie and I were friends since 3rd grade. She was the reason I had a social life in high school. I was such a nerd, but she was still my friend. She was like the mother in our group of friends, always taking care of us and making sure we got home safely. Even though we drifted apart in our adult lives, I will always have special memories of her and all of the fun we had as kids. Julie was a very special person and wonderful friend.

Julie was a very special person. She was so wise for her age. Although we hadn't spoken in a few years, I always appreciated her friendship and was sadden to hear of her passing. But I know she is in a better place.

Julianne was a kind, witty, and intelligent lady. She loved to say things were "fabulous" and if she was speaking about you she would add "darling". She loved sports and I worked in sports so we shared many fun times together over the years. She was always ready to help out and go the extra mile for her friends. I'm very glad to have known her and to have had her as a dear friend.

You were one of my first friends in Sacramento after I moved here in 1998. I'm so fortunate to have had to opportunity to meet you. Thanks for the lunches at Rastafari and the fun times (and not so fun times) we had at DOF. Can't help but feel like family after working in a place like that. I will miss you dearly.

Dear Julianne, I will miss you, your smile and wonderful outlook on life. You and I worked as a team several years and I considered you a close part of my Assembly family. You would come by to just visit, or with a smile come give me your opinion on issues we worked on. In the evening you would join the rest of my Assembly family for dinner or just to have some fun. Even after I left the Assembly you came to join our dinner gatherings. You blessed each and everyone of us with your courage and beautiful smile inspite of your pain. You taught us to share our gifts, to enjoy and share our lives with others. I will not forget your lessons. I will miss you always.

When Tex Schramm built Texas Stadium shortly after Julianne was born, he left a hole in the roof. As she was fond of reminding me, that was so God could see his team on Sunday. Ironically, this is the last season before her beloved Cowboys move to a new stadium. However, I am certain that God will be happy to give up his seats to her for their final home games.
I will miss you, baby doll. Try to look in on the 49ers from time to time, they could really use your help.

My condolences to Julie’s family, I was very sad to hear of her passing. Although I haven’t seen her for years; I have fond memories of her when we worked together at CDSS. She was always friendly and helpful to me back in my clerical days and I could always count on her for support. I wish the family well in their time of sorrow, but remember that Julie will always be in your heart.

Julianne was truly a gift to everyone who met her. She always had a bright smile on her face and something positive to say. I will miss her. We were work colleagues but I always thought of her as a friend.

I only knew Julianne professionally, in that she provided staff support for a member of an advisory board in Sacramento with which we worked. However, I did observe her over her five year battle with cancer and found her to be a very sweet, caring individual who continued to put all of her energy into her work despite the great challenge that must have been. While I did not know her well, I am very touched by her passing and wish her family and friends well in dealing with her loss. I will miss her consistent, engaging personality.

Julie was such a kind, loving, friend. She alway's met you with a smile and a kind heart. I was very fortunate to know Julie throughout the 90's. Although I hadn't stayed in touch with her over the years I'll always remember the many fond memories I got to share with her. My prayers are with her family and friends during this time of loss. I had the great good fortune to have had Julianne's assistance for several years in the Assembly. Her always stylish appearance, warm smile and careing demeanor always brightened my day. We met when you worked at California Department Social Services. Along with your striking good looks and infectious personality, you were never loss for words. Julie, I've know Julie and her family since 1975. I remember all the times we spent together as families camping & just being together. Last I saw Julie was Nov 2004, when I married Larry. Julie you were loved very much by all. In your new travels go see Tom and give each other a hug from all of us.

Julie was a great and valued friend who laughed easily, and always brought a smile to me and to those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be missed, and will always be in my thoughts.
