Kenneth Martin Obituary

Kenneth D. Martin, age 92, of Folsom, CA, passed peacefully into the full presence of Christ on October 21, 2017. Ken served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII, later graduating from St. Louis University as an aeronautical engineer. His interest took him to eventually become a builder/developer in the Northwest. Ken enjoyed his church and was an active member in the men's ministry at Christ Community, Carmichael. He is survived by his loving wife, Marty Martin of 30 years, his daughter Cheryl Van Ommen (husband Bud) of El Dorado Hills. He was preceded in death by daughter Linda Zarley of El Dorado Hills, and son, Ken Jr. of Folsom. Ken is also survived by his grandchildren: Corrie Robinson (husband Jamie and 1 child), Brandon Peterson (wife Karen and 8 children) and Kristina Zarley-Spears (husband Austin), and granddaughter Julie Martin Carerra, deceased, and his stepfamily. Memorial Service: Christ Community, 5025 Manzanita Ave, Carmichael, CA, Monday, November 20, 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Powerhouse Ministries, 311 Market St. Folsom, CA 95630.

Ken was, is and always will be an exceptional memory of a fine man in all ways that matter. A guiding light to me and countless others.
