Donna Spangler

Donna Reid Spangler MONROE - Mrs. Spangler, 55, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Services in celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home-Weddington Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. also at the funeral home. Donna was born October 2, 1957 in Charlotte to Celia Jane Hooks and the late Stanley Reid Hooks. She graduated from Independence High School. Donna loved her family, especially her grand babies and her little dog Booger. She really enjoyed her work and the people she worked with at Scott Safety in Monroe. Donna was filled with spice, spunk, and had a very vibrant life. She will be greatly missed, but her life will be celebrated by everyone who knew her. Her survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Farron Daniel "Danny" Spangler; children, Melvin Jay Whitley and fianc‚ Lisa Servicky, Christopher Reid Whitley and wife Lindsey; grandchildren, Kassidy Lynne, Emmylou Jeanne, Ariel Leighlou; brothers, Fred Hooks and Chris Hooks; sister, Becky Hooks; parents in-law, Dan and Rhoda Spangler; sister in-law, Rachel Hoomaian and husband Jeff and their daughters Reagan and Logan. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Hooks. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in memory of Donna be sent to Turning Point, P.O.
