Laura Sparks Obituary


SPARKS, Laura Jane
Born on January 29, 1940, she was born into eternal life on January 30, 2007. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. Avid fan of the NBA. Greeting her in Heaven are her parents Troy and Flossie McSpadden and her daughter Teresa, along with many other family members. Missing her here are her children and grandchildren, Doug, Teri, Kaitlyn, Patrick, and Michael Sparks, Brandon, Evelyn, Rebecca, and Rachel Sparks, Corey Sparks, Brian, Kristen, Ashley and Sean Vidosh, siblings Rob and Joan McSpadden, Pat and Dave Ives, Don and Dina McSpadden and her very dear nieces and nephews. Burial will be at Willows Cemetery on Feb. 2. Memorial service at River City Grace Community Church, 4261 Whitney Ave., Sacramento, on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow. We owe a debt of gratitude to the doctors at Sutter Roseville and the angels, also known as nurses at Sutter Memorial 4 North. Remembrances may be made to American Cancer Society.

Dear Doug and Family:

Your mother/grandmother was beautiful!!! How sad that she is gone at such a young age and that she passed the day after her 67th birthday. She was only exactly two months older than I, so this really puts things into perspective for me.

I am sure that you all have just the fondest of memories of Laura and will find so much comfort in sharing them with each other.

May God be with you all and help you get through this difficult time; and may He hold each of you in the palms of His hands.
