Lenora McKaughan

1934 - 2025

Lenora Mabel McKaughan passed September 13, 2025, in Elk Grove California. She was born on March 17, St. Patrick's Day, 1934 in Fredonia, North Dakota. She was the eldest daughter (and one of six children) born to Ida and Frederick Heller. Her family moved to Lodi, California when she was 13 years old and she graduated from Needham School in 1949. She resided in Sacramento where she raised her three children with her husband, Narciles. After Narciles retired, the two of them moved to Elk Grove. Lenora enjoyed regaling her family with stories of growing up in predominately German Fredonia, ND in the nineteen thirties and forties. She was a lifelong Oakland As baseball team fan. The last years of her life Lenora suffered from dementia and her son Jeff was a regular companion and source of comfort to her. Lenora passed September 13, 2025, in Elk Grove California. Lenora was predeceased by her husband, Narciles and her best friend and daughter, Linda McKaughan. She is survived by her sons Jeffrey and Larry McKaughan, in-laws Priscilla Llamas and April Rivera, and her grandchildren Carter and Lillian McKaughan. Lenora, Narciles and Linda are interned at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, California.
