WATAJI, Lester J.
Beloved Lester J. Wataji went home to be with our Lord on Wed, April 17, 2013. The sole child of William and Eleanor, Lester was born in Sacramento, CA on May 9, 1931.
Lester graduated from Sacramento State College in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then worked for Mercy General and Mercy San Juan Hospitals until he retired in 1991.
Lester dedicated his life to serving the Lord, church, and others in his community.
Lester was preceded in death by his mother and father, Eleanor and William Wataji; and is survived by his wife, Millie Wataji; son, Bryan (Raji) Wataji; daughters, Wendy (Jun) Okamoto, Naomi (Terence) Yu, and Lisa Wataji; and grandchildren, Victoria Hernandez, Michael Yu, Jordan Goss, Ryan Okamoto, William Yu and Ashtyn Wataji.
Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service on Sun, April 28, 2013 at 5pm at Sacramento Japanese United Methodist Church at 6929 Franklin Blvd, Sacramento, CA.

Lisa, my condolences on the loss of your father that I never had the pleasure of meeting. It's been so so.many years that have passed and seems that I haven't had time tonreflect back on years of past. Only recently did I speak to an old neighbor of mine name Lana, a common friend. Too many years have passed and I wish I would have met your father just to tell him thank you for bringing a wonderful person into this world. He must have been very very special I am sure. 209-688-5297 may God keep all of your family healthy, safe, and happy.
