Lewis BOATWRIGHT Obituary
BOATWRIGHT, Lewis Clelvia
March 20, 1924, passed away from congestive heart failure Dec. 11, 2009 in Roseville, CA. Born in Cheyenne, OK, on a dirt farm. Lewis came to Grass Valley, CA, at the age of 11. In 1944, Lewis married the love of his life, Carmel Jean Turner, whom he met at the age of 13. Lewis served in the Army in WWII. Lewis started his business life in the Baking business. Lewis entered the Automobile business in 1963 as an owner with his two brothers and a friend. Soon he became an Auto Dealer. His legacy in the Auto business was being a pioneer on Fulton Ave. Lewis had several Auto Dealerships over the last 40 years. He honored his work and was true to employees. Lewis last business on Fulton Ave. is About New Auto Sales which is now his grandsons'. Lewis and Carmel married 65 years, were soul mates until the last day of his life. Lewis is survived by his wife, Carmel; sons, Montie and Bruce; daughter, Nancy; sisters, Betty, Lois and Julie; and brother, Victor. Preceded in death by brother, Roy. Lewis loved his five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. During his retirement, Lewis enjoyed the second love and passion of his life playing music with his friends. Viewing will be held on Tues., 12/15/09 from 4-7pm. Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Wed., 12/16/09, both at Lambert Funeral Home.

Our condolances go out to the family of Lewis Boatwright. Our thought and prayers go out to you during this time of sorrow. I knew Lewis through Geri Berrett. I am Joshua's Aunt. My memory of Lewis that I can remember was helping my sister Sheri watch their home while they were away on vacation. That was over 30 years ago. God Bless your family.
