Loren Hov Obituary

Loving husband, father, and grandfather Loren Jens Hov passed away on April 6, 2017. A U.S. Army veteran, Eagle Scout, engineer, and proud Sacramento native, he was 88 years old (born Oct. 6, 1928). With a bright mind, unflinching dedication to his family, and positive discipline to improve the world for others, Loren was dearly beloved by his family and friends. Loren's example of personal responsibility and compassionate care for his community continues to inspire everyone who knew him. He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Carolyn, his sister Karin, his three children, seven grandchildren, and a great-grandson. No service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to the Sacramento Museum of History, Science, and Technology, Attn: Christina Swanson, 101 Eye St., Sacramento, CA 95814.
