Lyle L. McDaniel

1933 - 2016

1933-2016 My beloved husband Lyle "Babe" passed away on Saturday March 19, 2016 at the age 82 from congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Troy who left us in 2005. Lyle was born in Gridley Ca. He joined the Army during the Korean conflict, but was lucky and was sent to Germany for three and a half years. He met his wife Marianne "his Little German Girl" in Germany and was married there. He brought her back to the States in 1956. After his service he went to Yuba College and then on to Chico State where he studied Biology. However he ended up in Carmichael to join McDaniel Printing Co. and was owner for 25 years before he retired. He was a wonderful husband and father. He was kind, caring and loving. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sail boating and dancing. He and his wife also went on numerous cruises. He wrote poetry, played the organ and harmonica. He raised Canaries and loved his dog Katie & cat Mitzie. Lyle leaves behind his wife of 60 years Marianne, his adopted family David, Karen, Gabi & Mitch. He was loved by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
