Malcolm McCormack Obituary
Born on March 6, 1928, Malcolm was a lifelong Californian whose roots ran deep in the Delta region. He attended schools in Rio Vista before pursuing higher education at UC Davis and then graduating from the University of California, Berkeley. Following his studies, Malcolm dedicated his life to farming-a vocation he embraced wholeheartedly throughout his many decades.
A proud veteran, Malcolm served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was committed to service and community. He was an Eagle Scout, scout leader and mentor to many. Malcolm was a longtime member of the Walnut Grove Community Presbyterian Church, singing in the choir for many years and helping with many fundraisers and the community garden.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Walnut Grove Community Presbyterian Church, 14120 Grand Ave. in Walnut Grove, CA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church at P.O. Box 93 Walnut Grove, CA. 95690.
Malcolm's long life was marked by dedication-to his family, his community, and his land. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
