Marvin CALLOWAY Obituary



CALLOWAY, Marvin R.
Died at home of cancer on February 14, 2011 at the age of 88. Marv was born in Spokane, Washington on August 13, 1922. His family moved to Sacramento where he attended Sutter Jr. High School and Sac High School and married Patricia in 1942. After serving in the Air Force from 1943-45, Marv worked as a carpenter and then as a City Building Inspector. In retirement, he enjoyed golf and was an active member in the SIRS Branch #9. Marv and Pat have three children: Gary (deceased), Roger, wife Christine, Susan, husband Fred. They also have three grandchildren: Tony, Matt, wife Miranda, great-granddaughter Marley; Brent, wife Angie. The family would like to thank South Kaiser Hospice and special angel, Edith. There will not be a funeral at Marvin's request, rather a private graveside service for the family.

He'll always be Mr. Calloway to me. Fond memories of growing up and spending time, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and whatever with the Calloways. Sad to read of his passing.
