Michael Gardner Obituary

GARDNER, Michael John
Age 55, of Carmichael, California passed away September 7, 2004. Born July 6, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to James and Lynn Gardner. Graduating from Paris High School in Paris, Texas in 1967, Michael continued his education on to college to obtain his Associate Degree in January of 1986 at the University of New York in Albany, NY; Michael later joined the U.S. Navy and retired after 23 years of service as an E7. He served at San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA. A Vietnam Vet who served on the USS Orleck, USS Canopus and USS Emory S. Land. Of Michael's many interests, he enjoyed coin collecting, golf, and history. He will be missed greatly by his two loving daughters, Aishling Michelle Gardner of Virginia Beach, VA and Melissa Ann Gardner of Dublin, Ireland; and their mother, Frances Angela Gardner of Dublin, Ireland; his parents, James and Lynn Gardner of Carmichael, CA; two sisters, Diana Ferguson of Mayflower, Arkansas and Sandra Bower of Mifflinville, PA; brother, Patrick Gardner of Dallas, GA; and one granddaughter, Nina Angela Gardner of Virginia Beach, VA. Service for Michael will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 2:00pm at Lind Brothers Mortuary Carmichael Oaks Chapel, 4221 Manzanita Ave., Carmichael, CA 916-482-8080.
