Sacramento, California - Michael Kakavas of Sacramento CA passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 59 on June 6, 2021. Michael attended Cal Poly University and received his BS in Civil Engineering. Survived by brothers Bill Kakavas (wife Susan Kakavas) Dave Kakavas, and Niece's and Nephew. Services to be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Carmichael, Ca on July 8, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.

I was shocked to hear that Mike had passed. I always knew him as Rocky in college, never one to be defeated in any competition. Mike took every challenge that life had for him made it a sport. The first two years of college he was the most influential person in my life. I wonder how many other theta deuterons have moved on. My thoughts go out to his brothers in AEPi

I have many memories of Mike from the 70's growing up in the neighborhood. Mike was always a natural at ping pong, basketball and at our Mini Olympics. Great childhood memories. Rest in peace Mike...
