Born Annie Elizabeth Williams in St. Briavels, England. Passed away in Carmichael, California to her heavenly home. She is survived by her four children, Valerie Ross of El Cajon, Ca., William Stanovic (Veronica) of Citrus Heights, Ca., Jeffrey Stanovic (Kathy) of San Diego, Ca., David Stanovic (Lynn) of Roseville, Ca., ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren (soon to be four!) and her beloved sister, Alice Baker of St. Briavels, UK. Nancy grew up in the Wye Valley near the Royal Forest of Dean in Western England. She was the sixth child of seven children born to Ernest and Annie Williams. During WWII Nancy was stationed in Salisbury as a Civil Nurse Asst. living on the Cathedral grounds with her sister Phyllis. She met Samuel Stanovic who was a Staff Sergeant, 5th division, in the US Army. They were married on March 1,1945 in Lydney, Eng. Nancy came to America on the USS Ericsson through Ellis Is. as a British war bride. They lived in Virginia where Sam worked for the US Geological Survey. They transferred to Ca. in the mid fifties and lived in Carmichael and the Bay Area until 1978 when Sam retired. They moved back to Carmichael and enjoyed being grandparents and traveling. Sam passed away in 1997. Nancy and Sam were both active members of Trinity Life Center in Sacramento. Nancy was buried at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, Ca.
