My deepest sympathies to Blaze and his girls on the loss of his father. I didn't know Oscar but Silvia Jane was one of the sweetest people on earth and I miss her charming ways. You had a remarkable family and I know many will remember them with fondness.

Oh, so sorry to hear of Oscars passing. He will ALWAYS be Tzar Oscar to me! Both he and his adorable wife Sylvia Jane are missed. We will never forget our International Museum Docenting duties, which is where the friendships started. Thoughts go out to the family

What a nice man, and what a great loss to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him! He lived life courageously, with dignity, kept his sense of humor and enriched the lives of everyone who knew or came to know him. My condolences to his family on their loss of such a special person.

A great man and a mentor to me through so many years. Oscar battled ALS with his own brand of realism, acceptance, humor, dignity and grace. It limited him physically, but never conquered his defiant spirit. The memory of his courage will inspire me always. I thank God that I was blessed to have such a friend. May God bless and comfort his family and friends and, especially, his loving caregiver, Brian.
