Otis TURNER Obituary


TURNER, Jr., Otis G.
Son of the late Otis G. and Donita M. Turner of Moultrie, Georgia, a former reporter and news anchor (KCRA-TV) and newspaper owner and editor (The Fair Oaks Post) passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the age of 69 surrounded by his immediate family. In his retirement, Otis was active in community affairs and was president of the Board of Directors of the Nepenthe Homeowners' Association at the time of his death. Otis is survived by his wife, Naomi, brother, Terry (Susan), brothers-in-law, Ron (Jennie) and Wayne (Anna) Yamaguchi, special Auntie Akiye Sakamoto, nephews Patrick Turner and Koji Yamaguchi, niece Heather Turner, God daughters Jennifer and Christina Johnson and their parents, Rick and Beverley Johnson and an extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. NOTE CHANGE IN SERVICE
A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 4, 2014, at 2:00PM at the Buddhist Church of Sacramento, 2401 Riverside Blvd. Reception at the Church follows the service. Everyone is welcome.

Naomi - Please accept my condolences. I haven't kept up with anyone at the hospital so I didn't know Otis was ill. I hope that he didn't suffer and that you will find peace with his passing. Thinking of you - Judy Thompson Francis, Layton UT.
