Pamela Palmer Obituary

Pamela J. Palmer, born June 16, 1960, in Santa Monica, CA and passed away December 3, 2017 in Sacramento, CA. It is with great sadness that the family of Pamela announces her peaceful passing after a long battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents Donna and Joe Palmer. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Patrick and his wife Jackie, sister Nancy, niece Amanda and great nephew Isaiah, her extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins, plus a multitude of friends. Pam loved to travel, ride horses, take long walks and be with family and friends. She particularly enjoyed beaches and was fortunate to be able to live near beaches in Santa Monica, Santa Barbara and Kauai. Pam also loved selling real estate. She was most recently involved as a broker at Berkshire Hathaway Reality in El Dorado Hills, CA. Her 30 years of experience covered working with numerous professionals and clients, many who became close friends. Pamela's approach to life has always been to bring her best and leave everything and everyone that she came into contact with in a better brighter spot with bullet point plans for moving into the future. Her work as a CASA advocate for children in the legal system and as a foster mom was dear to her heart. Even when Pam was facing huge challenges of her own she always made time to ask about others and lend support as possible. Pam was an inspiration to all throughout her life but especially as she battled cancer. Her positive, courageous and humorous attitude will be with us always. The world is a better place for the energy and joy that emanated from Pam for the entirety of her too short time here with us. Pamela's family will be forever grateful to Pam's partner Harry Schaedler for the immeasurable amount of care and support he provided for Pam throughout the course of her illness. We are also very appreciative of the ongoing attention and care provided by Dr. Kiwan, his staff and numerous others in the oncology department at Sutter Sacramento. A Celebration of Pamela's life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6831 Mother Lode Drive, Placerville, CA 95667. Pastor Brandon Kharns will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memory of Pamela to either of the following: CASA - because of her love for children. [email protected]. MD Anderson Cancer Center - Pamela would have also wanted research for others battling cancer. www.mdanderson.org

I had the pleasure of meeting Pamela through our jobs as real estate agents. We quickly became friends. It was so easy to like and respect her. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her. She was so genuinely kind and personable. I miss her smile and her positive attitude. She always had a positive attitude. A true inspiration.
