Sacramento, California - On April 23, 2021, in Sacramento, California, Paris C. Carruth passed away. She was one of four daughters born to the late Curtis and Lee Berma Craig in Tyler, Texas. In 1948, she moved to Sacramento, California with her parents.
Paris retired as a civilian manager at McClellan Air Force Base in March 1993, after thirty years of service. Paris took pride in her career, volunteer work, faith, family and personal affiliations. She was recognized for her leadership and received various awards for outstanding performance during her career.
Paris was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, where she served for many years on the usher board and the finance ministry. The Southern Baptist Convention elected her to their executive board. She served in that capacity and traveled to meetings all over the United States. One of Paris's most memorable excursions was a trip to Jerusalem, where she was baptized in the Jordan River. She was also a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star Electa, Chapter 6 (OES).
Preceding Paris in death were her loving sons, Jim and Joe; Sisters, Curtie Mae Arterberry and Tanyia Chisloms. She leaves behind her daughter, Sandra Little and husband, Gary Little; her son, Allen Carruth and wife; Claire Carruth, her sister, Flossie Craig; grandchildren, Devisteen Conley, John Wiley Jr., Allen and Allyson Carruth, James, Cassondra and Jeremy Anderson; a daughter-in-law, Donna Anderson (Jim's widow); several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Gravesite services were held on May 12, 2021 at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes in Sacramento, California.

Paris will always be near and dear to my heart. She was and always will be the Best mother-in-law I personally could ask for. I miss you every day and I really miss our weekly talks in the evenings you are a Big Blessing in my Life. May the Lord continue to Bless all those who are near dear family and friends. Love you so much. Brenda Dixon, Granddaughter Lisa Anderson, and her children McChelle, Kiandas, Melvin and Melisa. Continue to rest in the Bosom of the Almighty God.
