Patricia Stubbs Obituary

On Tuesday, September 30th, Patricia Mary Stubbs peacefully passed away in her home at 5:30 p.m. She is survived by three of her four children, Jan, Nick, and Shelley.

Pat was born Patricia Dunham, in Duluth Minnesota. She attended Washburn High School in Minneapolis, and was President of her Class. Her college years were spent at University of Minnesota in Minnaapolis, where she met Vernon Stubbs. They danced the Lindy Hop, fell in love, and were married for 63 years.

One of Pat's jobs in ealry adult years was modeling clothes at local Department Store, she was paid by keeping those clothes. Sister Margaret and family moved to California as WWII started, and invited the newlyweds to join them in Glendale. They lived, there, in La Crescenta, Sun Valley, Carmichael, and finally Penryn in 1975.

Passionate about dogs, she began raising Papillons, (breed name is French for Butterfly), establishing an Internationally known kennel named Danadae Royal with many dog show wins, and Champions. Later she enjoyed breeding and selling Bengal Cats.

Her talents were endless, she created beautiful Faberge eggs, and paintings. inlcuding oils, pastels. and charcoals, with her sister. Her creativity did not stop there, she actually designed her final home in Penryn, drawing the plans to scale.

Her favorite vacationing spots were Hawaii, and Yosemite. She enoyed the beauty of the natural world. She leaves behind 105 years of love and legacies.

She will always be remembered for her kind and loving nature. She leaves us all with great memories, and we will cherish them. Always.
