Phyllis DeCroix Obituary
Olive Francis Swift Zinsli and Peter Christian Zinsli. While attending C.K. McClatchy High School she played the cello and after graduating went to Secretarial school. Her skills led her to a 35-year career in the California Governor's office.
She married Victor DeCroix, and they had four boys; Steven, Vic, Daryl and Scott.
While raising the boys and working, Phyllis found time to realize her lifetime goal. She attended Sacramento State University and after spending one semester at Oxford University, England, she graduated with a BA in Communication Studies.
After retiring Phyllis took up golf with a vengeance. She loved playing with her brother Jimmy and her many golf friends. She would gladly tell friends that she had earned 3 "holes in one". She could often be seen driving her golf cart in the neighborhood with her dog Andy by her side.
One of Phyllis's favorite pastimes was taking trips in her RV.
She loved hopping in her RV and exploring California and Mexico.
Remaining to cherish Phyllis's memory are sons Steven, Victor, Daryl and Scott, daughter-in-laws Patti and Maria, 6 grandchildren. 7 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great grandchild, Sisters Barbara Zinsli Reiff, Jackie Zinsli Burgeles and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Phyllis in death are her beloved brother Jim Zinsli and beloved sister Patricia Risney and her lifetime friend Evelyn Horangic.
To commemorate the passing of Phyllis there will be a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery, located at 7101 Verner Ave Sacramento CA, 11/01/2025 at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow 2:30 to 5:00 p.m.

Phyllis was a very good friend, especially during her golfing days. We used to go a lot of places and she always used to give these really good tips that she had read and we used to laugh and had such a good time have had lunch at the lodge with her gonna miss her condolences to her family.
