Phyllis Kauffman Obituary

Phyllis Maxine Kauffman, 92, born on December 18, 1922, in Delta, Ohio, passed away November 16, 2015. She resided in Rancho Mirage, CA at the time of her passing and formerly resided in the Sacramento area. Phyllis is survived by her beloved son, Ronald Bacon, step daughter Dede Kauffman, grandson Spencer Jones and wife Natalie, step nephews Barry and Lee, half-brother Bob Smith and wife Barbara, half-sister Pat Casagrande, 7 nephews and 2 nieces and 9 grand nieces and nephews, and many "friends like family" and other dear friends. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Robert Stanley Kauffman in 2008, and by her step nephew Jeffrey Kauffman. Phyllis and Bob traveled extensively all over the world and enjoyed life to the fullest. Phyllis enjoyed collecting many things from her travels. She also was passionate about politics and watching the current debates. She also attended many political events throughout the Valley. Phyllis' television had only one channel--Fox News! Phyllis was a strong and amazing woman, a dear friend, and loved by all who knew her. Phyllis will be sorely missed! A celebration of her life is scheduled for December 18, 2015, 1-4pm, at the Springs Club in Rancho Mirage-- Phyllis always loved a good party! There will also be a celebration for Phyllis in Sacramento after the first of the year, plans unconfirmed at this time. In lieu of flowers please send a gift in her honor to Wounded Warrior Project (WoundedWarriorProject .org/donate).
