Ray HUNTER Obituary
HUNTER, Ray
(Sunshine)
Passed away on Feb. 15, 2012. He was a long time resident of Sacramento in the Glen Elder Area. Mr. Hunter supported the soccer teams and the Oak Park Little League. He bought uniforms for the Sacramento High School Basketball Team. He reconstructed the baseball diamond at McClatchy Park. He worked for the City of Sacramento before becoming a General Building Constructor. He helped to remodel and build the Sacramento Police Department Sub Station on Fruitridge and Stockton Blvd. He received many awards and a Key to the City. Ray was always willing to help others. He loved to fish and go out in his boat. He helped many homeless often going out at night with his granddaughter to buy hamburgers and fries for the homeless of Oak Park. On Thanksgiving he would also feed them. He would have block parties for the children in the neighborhood. He will be greatly missed. There will be a celebration of life on Feb. 21, 2012 from 12noon to 4pm at 7323 Home Leisure Plaza, Suite 6, Sacramento, CA 95823.

To The Hunter Family:
We were shocked to hear of Brother Hunter death. Brother Hunter help out during the remodeling of our church. He would often come back and check out if we needed more work. He would do jobs @ no cost. Words cannot express the loss we feel. Please accept our sympathy in your great sorrow. Know that we the members of New Life Christian Church are praying for you.
