Dick spent the first decade of his life during the Great Depression and came away with an appreciation for hard work and sense of kindness to his fellow man. He graduated Sac High and was Student Body President of the Class of 44. A Veteran of two foreign wars, serving as a Navy communications specialist during end of WWII and early Korean Conflict. He was a patriot and a constant community volunteer serving in many organizations and clubs throughout his life. He passionately worked a wonderful 44 year career in dental sales, serving dentists in Nor Cal area, making many lifelong friends along the way. He designed and equipped hundreds of beautiful and functional dental offices. A lifelong lover of golfing, fishing, baseball, sailing, music, dogs and cats. He was a handyman that could skillfully build or fix nearly everything. Everyone knew he was happily into a good "project" when he whistled his favorite (4 note) tune. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 21st at noon at the Rotary Clubhouse, 7150 Baldwin Dam Road, Folsom 95630. All are welcome! In lieu of flowers, Dick would have preferred donations to the Sacramento SPCA.

Wonderful man. Worked with him on the warehousing side in the late sixties early seventies. Sad to hear of his passing.

I met Dick in 1969, I had been a rookie dental salesman in Sacramento for 2 years. Dick joined us as a dental equipment specialist, Tom Weinberg was our manager. Dick taught me how to sell dental equipment, I wanted to sell like he did. He cared about the customers and only wanted the best for them. As I start my 50th year in the dental business, it was Dick Bailey who put me on the right track.
Thanks and God Bless Dick
