Merry Christmas Mike!!
It's early, the kids aren't even awake...remember when we would sneak down, before Mom and Dad were awake, just to see what 'Santa' brought for us? Now it's my turn to play Santa. I wish you were here to enjoy the looks on their faces.
I wanted you to know I remember.
I love you,
Your favorite Sis,

Happy Birthday Mike!!
Today was like most, only a little sadder. Each kid needing to be at a different place at the same time, They each remembered Uncle Mike's Birthday. Jordan is taking after you in his drawing. He, like you, is truly gifted. I will always encourage him to keep with it. You would be quite proud. Sami lips off to the boys like I did to you. She is just like me. Blake, I think you know...he seems to know a lot about you, "from your talks at night' he says. Anyway, Happy Birthday Mike!
Always in our hearts and prayers.
Love,
Your favorite sis!

Merry Christmas Mike,
I wish you were here with us this year. The new house, we even had snow, from what the neighbors say, snow is unususal. I know you brought the snow to let us everything is OK. We are going out for dinner tonight, Surf & Turf, your favorite. I know you would have enjoyed hanging out in the casino with Dad, Brett, and Rog, playing 21. Mom seems a little better this year, I think being with the kids helps. The kids made you another tree this year, put in a special Uncle Mike corner. I really miss you, maybe you can try to stop by in the morning, be with us in spirit, although you are still very much alive to me! When does it get easier? I'm trying to stay so strong for Mom and Dad but, damn, its hard. Jordan reminds me "Mom, Uncle Mike is all around us, maybe if you close eyes you can see him, or just talk to him, like I do, it really helps." You'd be so proud at how smart and loving they all are. I know I'm rambling, and I know you hate that, I can hear you say, "get to the point" The point is...I love you and miss you everyday. Merry Christmas bro
Love always,
your favorite sis!!

Hey Mike,
I feel kinda silly writing to you, I know you are gone, but somehow, writing to you makes me feel like you are still here. Maybe on a vacation, or I like now, I've moved to Washington, away from Cali, and all the pain.(It followed me here!) I wish we still had ICQ to talk to each other late at night, usually when you were getting home from work or playing a game and me up with a sick baby. I miss those chats. I miss a lot of things about us. Mom is doing much better, I really believe you saved her, and I am grateful. She is almost back 100% but I'm sure you know that already. Dad is...Dad. Quiet, more so than usual, we were hoping you being gone would be easier with time...but thats just a crock!! The tears still flow, I'm just better at hiding them now. I wish I could ICQ you right now, its late, 0230, I know you'd be awake. With Brett gone so much, I don't sleep as well, an am up very late, which reminds me more and more of you.
Keep the dragonflies coming!! We look for one everyday, to tell us you are still with us, if only in spirit.
I love you Mike,
~Michele

Dear Mike,
One year ago today, the world as I knew it stopped. My brother died. My only sibling. Some days I think of you and smile, remembering a private joke or silly song. Mostly I feel if my heart aches anymore I know it will explode. My world changed drastically because you died, but it is forever changed - because you lived! I admired you more than you ever knew for being true to yourself. I have drawn on your strength and have learned to be truer to myself. I will forever be blessed, because YOU were my brother.
I love and miss you deeply,
Michele

Looks like I am the only one that didn't have courage enough to write to you yesterday. I was trying to do anything to keep busy so my tears would stop falling. Nothing worked. We had a long talk just like when you were being stubborn. I talk you pretend to listen. I still miss you more than anyone knows but I know that I have to be good and live this life so we can be together again. Love you son, MOM

Dear Mike
Today is your birthday, and no amount of time will ever erase our love for you. We can only think of all the good times and the growing we did together. Your mom and I cherish your art work, your baby album, and everything in between. On my birthday, I missed your 2AM call, and "Hey, old man, what's up>" I can not tell you how proud of you that I am. Your house is wonderful, and by far is better than anything that I have accomplished. We think of you day and night and the tears flow freely. We have "dog" to remind us of you and he is onery, just like you when you were little. I want all of your friends and the world to know how honored that I am to be your father, and how much we love you. We will be seeing you someday and want you to know our love for you grows stronger every day. With all my love to you son, Dad

Dear Mike,
I miss you so much. Each day that goes by feels like an eternity. You will always live in my heart. I am so lucky to have spent the last two short years with you. I miss our long talks in the office while you play Counter Strike snuggling in between lives, our short walks to the mail box with Dog, watching Survivor on Thursdays, and racing on Mondays. You are the love of my life. I remember everything we talked about on Saturday and I promise to make you proud of me. Thank you for everything. I can’t wait to see you again.
I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

Dearest Mike,
wish we could have kept in touch with you during these past few years. Sounds like you have done well for yourself. I always knew that you would accomplish many things. You definalty had a charm and intelligence I will always remember. Ryan remembers all the great times in art class and thought you were a great friend. Ryan is the biggest computer geek, movie fanatic, comic book, video game, software hackin, Lego building junkie in town.
It sounds like you both would have a lot to chat about.
Time is definatly precious. looking at your picture, Brings back a lot of memories from high school. I guess this is our reality check. Dont take life for granted. The short time we were able to share this earthly life with you has been a honour. You now have a new journey ahead, and we cant wait to see you again. Thanks again for all the memories and friendship.
Your friends forever, Ryan and Judi

Dear Cousin Mikey:
I was looking forward to giving you a hard time the next times our paths crossed. I was looking forward to you giving that little .22 rifle to your own son, the one your dad gave to me and I gave to you so many years ago. As the tears run down my cheeks I say to you....Aloha my friend.

I was always forunate to spend every other friday hangin out front of GC with Mikey. I remember we used to always have little arguments about what little things happened in movies. I always teased him that i was 20lbs more then him, since im alot younger. I remember he would tell me about Counter-Strike. Finally I bought it and the last time i saw him he told me he'd show me everything there was. That was Mikey, Always helpin. Goin to movies, helpin people with there cars. im glad i got to do quite a few things with Mikey. Ill miss him.

I really enjoyed working with Mikey. He was the first one I met since he gave me my orientation at GCC. He was a great bouncer and exceptional person. He had a really funny side to him and a really serious side too. Last year I put on a Christmas party and hung up flyers throughout the club giving all the details. I ran out of time and didn't have it edited but I put them up anyways. I came back to work to find the one on the main board covered in red marks so I asked someone to take responsibility for thrashing my paper. The next day I came in and in big letters it said MIKEY. It made me mad at the time but I also had to laugh that it was him when I thought for sure it was another dancer.
We all miss him so much. The club will never be the same for those who knew him but all our lives will forever be enriched because we did.

I met Mikey when I started working at the GC in 1997. At first I thought he was a total brat, but soon came to realize that was part of his charm. Even after I left the GC, Mikey and I were still very much in touch through various friends and hobbies. Mikey helped me build my first computer (which makes him ultimately responsible for my success) and taught me how to kick ass at Half Life (he showed me what a LAN party was) and gave me hack software. We shared many friends and experiences. I hung out his place a lot and watched anime while he geeked on the latest rpg. Mikey is a great friend, selfless and caring. Online we chatted away all the time, about our loves, our lives, and our dreams. I will always remember him as Little Mikey/Fenixx.
I wish I had the composure to say this aloud today, but no one would have understood I word I would have tried to say...
I love you MIKEY!!!!

My heart goes out to Mikey's Dad Larry, his mom Doris, his sister Michele, his girlfriend Lori and all of the many many friends that he touched. I only had the opportunity to know Mikey for a short time but I will treasure that time. He always had a smile on his face and always made me laugh everytime I saw him. He will be greatly missed!

Dear Larry and Doris,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss of your beloved son. Mike always made me laugh when he came to a family gathering or came with Lori to pick me up at the airport. He was so bright, witty, and intelligent. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

I knew Mike in highschool. We both worked together during lunch in the school snackbar. He was always such a character and those were good times. We both use to stand at the registers and sing "Oh Shelia.....let your love come down". Mike was also the one that suggested we dip our fries in the nacho sauce. It is still a treat to this day. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Mike thanks for the laughs and the songs and making highschool bearable. Your spirit and energy in the world will be missed.

To Mike's Parents, Family & Friends, I had a great experience working with Mike. I am devasted to learn of his passing on his first investment property, beyond words... I was his Realtor. It was always a joy working and talking with Mike. He made me laugh and seemed so mischivious with a twinkle in his eyes, however very serious about his investing in fixer homes. He surprised me by even putting gas in the car as we viewed homes! NO-ONE has ever done that but Mike. I will miss our banter and talking very much. I am so sorry for your loss. To his Mother, whom I met, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I first talked to Mike while gaming online. He was one of those guys that were level headed and treated other people with respect, a quality that one does not see a lot in this arena. I subsequently met him a couple times in person and he was the same easy going person in the flesh as he was online. I remember we were speaking about our online handles and how we came to choose each of ours. He went with Fenixx, a mythical animal that does not perish. Another choice he considered was Ubiquitous, to be everywhere at once; this lost out because he thought the meaning of the word would be lost to too many people. Both names are very fitting for Mike - his spirit will continue to live on amongst those who knew him and he is everywhere now, even in the thoughts of someone so far away. My sincere condolences to Mike's friends and family for you have lost someone special
