Ricky MILLER Obituary

MILLER, Ricky Lee
Passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in his home on December 1, 2009. He was born on November 2, 1960, in Long Beach, Calif., but grew up in Sacramento. A great entrepreneur, beginning at the young age of 19, Rick was the founder of a host of business ventures including Pizza My Love, Rick's Uptown Market and Rick's Family Grocery. As a real estate investor, Rick was afforded his dream home in Bodega Bay where he loved to spend time relaxing and entertaining friends. Known by many, many friends as generous and fun loving, he always displayed a grand sense of humor. Passionate for family and friends, Rick enjoyed the outdoors, travel and a love for fishing and golf. He is survived by the loves of his life, wife, Sheri Lee Miller and four year old daughter Mary Janice Miller. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, at Lind Brothers Mortuary, 4221 Manzanita Avenue followed by a celebration of life at Serritella's Restaurant. A memorial fund will be established for his daughter Mary Janice.

The tide recedes but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand. The sun goes down ,but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains...For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains. Forever in our hearts!

I am so shocked and saddened to see that Rick passed away. There was a time when we were very close and I'm just glad that he had a wife and child to love. I know how badly he wanted that in his life. I have many fond memories of him. He was a great man with a big heart!!!

Rick you were one of the smartest people I have ever met. You always amazed me at how easy you made financial matters look. You were funny and had a big heart. And most of all you adored your wife and daughter. I will miss you. I am proud to not only call you a business collegue, but a friend. The world will be less bright without you, Rick Miller.

To The Rick Miller Family, just wanted to let you know that Rick was alway kind and fair to me. We always had a good laugh on just about anything we talked about. I meet Rick through his grocery stores and appreciated his company.I can honestly say I don't remember him ever getting mad anytime I've know him even when I did make a mistake. He was one of the best and we'll miss him.......
