Robert Maxey Obituary

Robert "Bob" William Maxey, 86, a true and faithful servant of the Lord went home on March 2, 2016. A true Patriot, Maxey retired from the United States Air Force and then had a second career at McClellan Air Force Base. Bob was a kind, loving and serene gentlemen. A gift and a passion for helping fellows overcome addiction, Bob was a "Friend of Bill's" for over 30 years. Bob and his wife Eleanor were active members of Senior Saints at Valley Springs Presbyterian Church in Roseville. A faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Bob is survived by his wife and best friend, Eleanor Dowling Maxey; children, Robert M. Maxey (Mishalle), Ramona M. Williams (Ron), James C. Maxey, Angela Bryant (Dennis). Granddaddy Bob to Emily, Thomas, Robby, Charley, Austin, Aaron, Arik, Allen, Hannah & Jacob; great grandchildren, Ada & Benjamin. Preceded in death by step son, Steven Batchelor. Celebration of Bob's life will be held at 10AM, Tues., March 29 at Valley Springs Presbyterian Church, 2401 Olympus Dr., Roseville, CA 95661.

I remember 'Bob the Yank' very fondly. I was privileged to have Bob attend my graduation as an officer in the Royal Air Force at Cranwell in 1996. He was a true gentleman. Sending my love and thoughts to his family.
