Robert Nevis Obituary
Passed away on June 16, 2004, in Santa Cruz, CA, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 3, 1931, in Sacramento to Mary and Manuel Nevis. He served in the USAF for 2 years in the early '50s. Robert is survived by stepdaughter Leslie Chacon of Santa Maria, CA; stepson Kahsi Southall of Royal Oaks, CA; grandson Joseph Venuti; sister Genevieve Fraser; brother Gordon Nevis; nieces Carol Parker, Lauri Troxel and Holly Roberts; nephew Craig Fraser; and two great-nieces and a great-nephew. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life in Wilton, CA, Sacramento Co., on July 11, 2004, at 12:30 PM. I remember being smitten by Bob as a young girl because he was was one of the handsome and fun men I had ever met. He always had a smile and an encouraging word for me whenever we talked. He was like that his whole life. No matter how sad he was personally, he never mentioned it, he was focused on brightening the present. You don't meet many men like Bob and I miss him already.
