Robert POPE Obituary
POPE, Robert Stephen
36, Passed away on June 6, 2014, due to a tragic automobile accident. He was born on January 24, 1978, and grew up in Sacramento. He attended El Camino High School, where he played football, UC Davis, and CSUS. Robert found his calling in computers and worked for CompUSA, Best Buy, and Express Techs. He was a gentle and kind soul, and he loved nature, history, and technology. He was a friend to everyone he met, with his caring and positive personality. He is beloved by his family and his dog, Frida, and will be missed dearly. He is survived by his parents, Jackie and David Pope, sister Janis Pope, grandmother Edith Chamberlain, aunts and uncles Karen and Chris Enever and Stani and Ray Moore, and nine close cousins. A funeral service will be held at 10am on June 17, 2014, at Sierra Hills Memorial Park and East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Ln., Sacramento, CA, 95841.

I come to this website occasionally just to see your beautiful and kind face. I think of you often as we shared so much in so little time. Your smile and your laughter still resound in my head as I thank our Lord for letting me spend some time with you. You made this world so much better with your gentle soul and your compassion beyond measure. Love and miss both you and Frida very much. I can picture you two in Heaven having a blast or just hanging out next to each other.

Robert was an amazing guy. I am so thankful we got a chance to get to know him over the last year & a half. I will always remember Robert's smile, hugs, laughter and his genuine love for people and animals. He was a helpful and giving man who definitely has his "angel wings" now.

Robert was so very nice to me on the occasions we spent talking together. He and his family are among the most caring I have ever met. Please know my thoughts are with you right now in this time of sadness. I lit a candle in St. Paul's Cathedral in London in memory of Robert yesterday, and I will do so in every cathedral I attend while I am here in Europe. I am sending my love and prayers to you all, Jackie, Dave, and Janis. I know Robert's heart and soul will always be part of you.
