Robert QUICK Obituary


QUICK, Jr., Robert B.
Nov. 15, 1946 to Dec. 23, 2009.
Robert died peacefully at home after along battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jeanette; his sister Carol Lynn Dehoop, his adopted son Sean Souza, daughters Roberta Lynn Burriss, and Teda Marie Hartsock, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Robert served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a Viet Nam veteran. He retired from Evergreen Environmental Services after 18 years of employment. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and volunteered as a recruiter, vessel inspector, marine visitor and instructor. He loved touring on his Gold Wing, woodworking, and was an avid gardener. His laughter was contagious and he will be dearly missed. Services will be on Sunday, Jan. 17, at 2:00 p.m. at Lions Gate Hotel (McClellan AFB), followed by a Celebration of Life. Potted plants for a memorial garden in lieu of flowers.

Pappy we all miss you so much that great big smile and laugh!!! I'm dissapointed in myself i didnt get a chance to say good bye to you...when i get out we will ride together you'll be my wing man ;) I appreciate all the time you spent teaching me life lessons and wood work knowing i have attention issues haha and when we smoked our first cigarette together in the garage and u told me not to let my grandmother see and gave me crap about them bein menthol and your jokes and good god all the inuendo i truly miss you love you and wish we had more time see you in the next life love your oldest grandson James D. PAPPY, I love you forever and I am glad you have been relieved of all pain. I cant wait to meet again and i will never forget the happy memories spent with you and the family. Im glad you and Foxy have been reunited I know she missed you. When I get where you are we we will have to watch Shrek together so you can memorize the lines also :) I LOVE YOU PAPPY

Robert, I'll always remember out motorcycle ride in the rain down to San Luis Obispo. You had me laughing even though we were soaked from the rain. It will always be one of my fondest memories along with standing up for you and Jeanette at your wedding. I love you and Jeanette, Judy
