I was fortunate enough to have had Mr. Wells as my Algebra 2 teacher in 10th grade, and again my senior year for Trigonometry. Math, once considered a chore, not only made sense but was fun as well! I now work in an industry that enables me to "play with numbers" on a daily basis, and thanks to Mr. Wells I'm very good at what I do.
Mr. Wells made such a positive impact on my life and I am truly saddened by your loss.

So sorry to hear of your loss! I remember Mr. Wells from the old Rockland Way days. He was a happy, fun-loving and friendly man. I'm sure he will be missed. I lost my dad quickly on 10/10 to colon cancer and I can surely understand the pain you all are feeling. Since both my dad and Mr. Wells were Christians, it is such a blessing to know they are in Christ's care now! May God's comfort be with you even more during this time.
Love,
Sue & Larry Oliver

After taking Algebra and failing it in 8th grade, I took it again (this time with Mr. Wells) in 9th grade...and suddenly it all made sense! Something about his teaching style made concepts that had previously been unfathomable to me suddenly crystal clear. From that point on math was logical and fun, which opened the doors to my current career. Much of my success there can be attributed to that turning point in his classroom. He was a true teacher. I am very lucky to have known him.
