Ronald Neal BARENTSON

1936 - 2016

Ron was born August 21,1936 in Audubon, Iowa (parents Neal and Florence Barentson), passed away on June 24, 2016 after a long illness. He met his wife Mary as San Leandro High grad- uates and was married for over 45 years until her death 15 years ago. Ron leaves behind his children Mike (wife Janet) and Linda and (husband Horst), and grand-children, Keith, Kristen, Natalie, Emily, and Sam, great-grand-children (Haven, Kailyn, and Kaytani), and brother Tom (wife Connie). Ron also leaves behind his companion, Carol George, of Granite Bay, as they enjoyed many fun and loving years together. Ron was a very talented man who not only owned a successful electrical business, but was an expert in all hobbies he took on: model airplanes, archery, boating, Pigeon racing, cattle cutting, and flying "real" airplanes. He was well respected by all that knew him. Ron's memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 16th at 10:00 am at the St. Joseph Marello Catholic Church, 7200 Auburn-Folsom Blvd., Granite Bay, California. There will be a service and then an opportunity to meet with the family in the Church's reception hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
