Folsom, California - Rosalee Ann (Puleo) Leier passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, in Folsom, California, at the age of 84.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Rosalee moved to California with her parents and younger brother at the age of four. She was raised in the Italian district of East Sacramento and graduated from Sacramento High School. She began her professional life as a stenographer with the California State Department of Motor Vehicles before marrying James Robert Leier and dedicating herself to raising their two children. During this time, she actively volunteered at her children's school and managed publicity for the Saint Mary's Catholic Church festival for eleven consecutive years.

Following her divorce, Rosalee embarked on a 25-year career at Vision Service Plan (VSP), where she served as Executive Assistant to the Vice President and the Board of Directors. Her dedication and excellence earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout the organization.

Rosalee was known for her remarkable strength, warmth, and vivacious spirit. She loved conversation, shopping, good food, giving gifts, reading, and gathering with others. Her generosity and sincere interest in people enriched countless lives. Above all, she cherished her role as a mother and caretaker, devoting herself to her family with unwavering love and steadfastness, especially to her beloved son Jason, whose memory she carried with deep strength.

She was preceded in death by her son Jason Robert Leier; her parents Rose and Albert Puleo; and her brother Joseph Louis Puleo. She is survived by her devoted daughter Gina Renee of Monterey, California; her cherished niece Sonja Puleo Lindberg of Galt, California; as well as many cousins and dear friends.

A Catholic Rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 14, at 6:00 p.m. at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 15, at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 58th and M Streets, Sacramento.

Rosalee was deeply loved, and her strength, warmth, and vibrant spirit will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
