SMITH, Ruby Beatrice
Born March 22, 1922 in Bartlesville, OK. Passed away April 27, 2014 in Sacramento, California at the age of 92. Predeceased by her father George Neely and mother Clara Neely, son Jerry Cumbie, grandson Biff Cumbie, husbands Vestal Cumbie, Dale Smith and 12 siblings. Leaves behind Doyle Burns, long term companion of 23 years, daughter Joyce Frost and husband Lynn; grandsons Tom, John and granddaughter Debbie; great grandchildren, Curtis, Amber, Meggie, Kaitlyn, Geena, Krissy, Sara, John and Dakota; great great grandchildren Alyssa, Kylee, Ava and Emily; stepson Jim; four sisters-in-law, 12 nephews, 10 nieces and many friends. Ruby loved to cook, work in the garden and travel. She cooked for restaurants for many years and loved to cook for family and friends. The services will be held at the Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd on May 10, 2014 at 11am. Visitation will held on Friday May the 9th from 7pm to 9pm at Sacramento Memorial Lawn. A celebration of her life will follow the service in Lynn's and Joyce's garden.
