Ruth Ann Jarvis

1933 - 2017

Born Ruth Ann Hamilton; passed into God's loving arms for her journey home on August 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving daughters and grandchildren. Ruth was the beloved and adoring wife of David Stanley Jarvis ("Buddy"). Highschool sweethearts since the age of 16 and married 54 years, he preceded her in 2008. Loved daughter of Helen (Ratajczak) and Alexander Hamilton who both precede her. Also preceding her are her brother, George Hamilton, sister, Rita Gordon and her youngest brother Leroy Hamm. Beloved mother to Michelle Jarvis of Montana, Robin Bennett of Montana and Denise Jarvis of California. Cherished by her 6 grand-children Amelia, Briana, Jocelyn, Guin, Kalindra and Kaleb. Great-Grandmother to Justin, Ayden, Michael-David, Madison and Liam. She is survived by her sister Mary Tupen, sister-in-law Lois Comyford, and forever pal Connie Chesnel, and many loving nephews and nieces. Born to Helen (Ratajczak) and Alexander Hamilton in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 27, 1933. Ruth graduated in 1951 from Richmond High School and married her high school sweetheart in 1953. Ruth traveled to many states with her husband during his baseball career with the Brooklyn Dodgers until finally settling down in Carmichael, CA to raise their daughters. In her dedication to her family, Ruth truly loved and embraced her role as wife and mother as reflected in her homemaking skills. Ruth turned their house into a loving home and took great pride in adding her personal touch to their home as well as working full time at Aerojet as a senior clerk/personal assistant as well as many years with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Ruth's connection to the lord shone thru in her collection of lighthouses and Thomas Kinkade artwork as if to say God's ever-present love is always lighting the way in life. Loving and kind in all her ways, Upright and just till the end of her days, Sincere and true in her heart and mind, Beautiful memories are what she's left behind. As Ruth would say, "We don't say goodbye, we say I love you".
