Roseville, California - "Heaven has a new Angel"
Ruth Moore passed away peacefully in her Roseville home of 69 years on September 26, 2021 at age 94. She was born to a farming family on June 4, 1927 in Boden, North Dakota. At age 9, her family moved to California where they lived in various cities. While living in Citrus Heights, she attended and graduated from San Juan HS.
In 1947 she won the Miss Placer County Queen pageant. Ruth married Carl E. Moore February 22, 1948. Carl passed away on March 2, 1981 after battling cancer.
In 1982 Ruth became very involved in square dancing. She joined the Mavericks Square Dance club in Roseville where she was an active member and officer for 34 years. In 1992 she met Clayton Spindler who became her love, friend, companion, and dance partner for 23 years until he passed away in 2015.
Over the years, Ruth had several different jobs. In 1965 she went to beauty school. After graduating, she opened her beauty shop in her back yard. She worked as a beautician until she retired at age 85.
She is preceded in death by her parents Marcus and Cora Althea Bowser; brothers Lawrence Bowser, Eugene Bowser, Cecil Bowser; Sister Marlene Sprinkle. Survived by her son Robert Evans and spouse Suzan Evans; daughter Donna (Moore) Fowler; grandson Lance Williams.
Ruth was laid to rest on October 16, 2021 in the Roseville Cemetery with a small service of family and close friends. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.
