Sacramento, California - Sara Arias, age 85, peacefully passed away on April 3, 2023, in her home after a courageous battle with breast cancer surrounded by family and friends. Born in Sacramento on November 6,1937 to Jose and Maria Onofre. She attended William Land, Sutter Jr.High, Sacramento High School. She married Victor Arias on May 6, 1955, who she affectionately called Bear. Together they had 4 children.
Sara was very proud of her children and loved them unconditionally. She worked tirelessly to provide "little extras" for her family her work ethics carried over to RGA, Libby's, Farmers Rice, eventually retiring from Campbells Soup company. She had an extra ability to find joy and humor in her daily life. An avid sports fan she also actively participated in several trophy winning teams - bowling, pool, a Moose Lodge Member, and golf. Her other hobbies and interests included badminton, Tai Chi, water aerobics, watching crime T.V., word puzzles and coloring. She especially enjoyed going out with "the girls". Her spirit of adventure took her traveling throughout the America's and other continents. Sara is preceded by her parents, sister Elvera Onofre Moralez, brothers Frank & Jose Jr. and daughter Vicky Saint Arias. She is survived by husband Victor, daughters, Patricia, Kym, (grandson Marquis Molina) son Robert (Frances daughter in-law). We would like to thank the Infusion Center, Palliative Care and Hospice Dept at South Sacramento Kaiser for their consistent caring support. Celebration of life will be held on May 6, 2023, 12 -5pm at the Pavilion 9950 Elk Grove Florin Road, Elk Grove Ca 95624.
