Sacramento, California - Born and raised in Mankato, Minnesota. Scott is survived by wife Mary, sons Matthew (Nicole), Lafayette, CA; David, Sacramento, CA; grandchildren Liam and Emma; sister Judy Trepka (Iowa City, IA); brother-in-law John Wolf (Minneapolis, MN); mother-in-law Adele Richardson (Davis, CA); sister-in- law Julie Richardson (Sacramento,CA); brothers-in-law Jeff Richardson (San Francisco, CA); Tim Richardson and David (Melinda) Richardson (Omaha, NE); loving nieces, nephews and friends. Proceeded in death by parents Mary and Harold Anderson (Mankato, MN), sister Jean Wolf (Minneapolis, MN) and father-in-law Jim Richardson.
To know Scott was to know his constant devotion to his faith, family and friends. His wisdom was matched only by his humility, which brought calm strength to those around him. His incredible presence will be missed but never forgotten.
Scott lettered in football and track at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN and received an MBA from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He thrived in his over three decades as a sales professional. He was disciplined and passionate, whether it was in competition, coaching or spectating, and loved his many years playing basketball. Scott was always curious, constantly learning and using his passion to help others. He valued literacy, volunteering as an after school tutor with the Sacramento Library Literacy Program and in the classroom with Reading Partners. Scott put his faith into action as one of the founding members of the St. Vincent dePaul Conference at Holy Spirit Church.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, September 18th at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Church, 3159 Land Park Drive. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Reading Partners, 638 3rd Street Oakland, CA 94607 or the St. Vincent dePaul Conference in c/o of Holy Spirit Church.

Scott was an avid member of the basketball program at The Capital Athletic Club for many years. He had many friends within our program and his presence on our court has been missed in recent years.
