Steven CARPENTER Obituary
CARPENTER, Steven Allen
Born on January 3, 1950 in Los Angeles, California to Ann Louise Schriver and William Carpenter, passed December 18, 2012 in Sacramento, California at the age of 62. Steven joined the electrical engineering Firm of Koch-Chun & Associates in May of 1980 and in April of 1987 joined Donald R. Knobloch Sr., Donald Knobloch PE. and Marlene Chun Lukenbil as partners in the firm, changing the name to Koch, Chun, Knobloch & Associates, Inc. He was Corporation President from 2002 until his death. He graduated from Grant Union High School in 1967 and received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1972. Steven was a loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughters, Alexandra and Kristen; Nate Ward; and grandson, Jacob. He also is survived by Lisa Carpenter, Boyd and Kay Clements, and their children. Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at Miller Funeral Home, Folsom on Friday, January 18, at 11:00am.

I just learned of Steven's passing and am very sad and shocked. Steven and I became close friends when we were neighbors in the early 70's and I liked Elaine right away when we first met. Steven was a very smart man with a special and unique sense of humor who loved his family deeply. This is such an unexpected loss way too soon. My heart and prayers go out to Elaine, Alexandra, Kristen, family, and close friends. It was a treat to know Steven.

Dear Elaine,
I am so sorry for your loss. I've known Steve for about 30 years and had grown accustomed to seeing him each morning here at 7300 Folsom. He was forever the consummate gentleman & professional. He was respected and will certainly be greatly missed. I hope the healing for you and your girls begins quickly.

Steve was a wonderful man ~ his smile and laughter could fill a room. I always enjoyed being in his company. He will truly be missed. You and the girls are in our thoughts and prayers.
