Steven NICHOLLS Obituary
NICHOLLS, Steven Ross
Our beloved father and husband passed away on February 25, 2011 in Elk Grove, CA with his family by his side after a 24 year battle against brain cancer. Steven was born in San Diego, CA on August 30, 1958.
Steven was a proud graduate of California State University, Sacramento 1978 where he pitched for the baseball team. He was employed by United Parcel Service from 1979-2011 serving in various technical and management positions. He held great admiration for his family, friends, and the San Francisco Giants.
Steven leaves behind his wife Laura, of Elk Grove, daughter Kelly Nicholls of Elk Grove, son Ryan Nicholls (Nikki) of Sacramento, son Brian McKenna (Jaimie, grandson Kayden) of Murrieta, CA, daughter Kristin Hanson (Jesse) of Carmichael, daughter Meghan McKenna (Nick) of Elk Grove. He was also survived by his mother, Alice Nicholls of Sacramento, sister Linda Nicholls (Pat) of Sacramento, sister Leslie Nicholls of Sacramento, and numerous nieces and nephews. Steven will forever be loved and missed.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 4, 2011 from 4-8pm at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary located at, 9189 E. Stockton Boulevard in Elk Grove.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday March 5, 2011 at 2:00pm at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary with a reception following at Laguna Town Hall.
The family of Steven Nicholls sends a special thank you to the Neuro-Oncology staff at UCSF for all of their years of support. My heart goes out to the Nicholl's family during this difficult time. Steve was truly agreat family man. We shared some good times coaching Elk Grove's Blue Thunder in the early 90's with the Horning family. I enjoyed talking baseball with him and our families shared a great moment in Georgia in 1992. He will be missed.

We are so sorry for your loss our condolences to the whole Family We are grateful that we ran into all of you last year at the walk in Golden Gate park. It was great to catch up with everyone. We are planning to go back this year with a bigger group maybe some of your group will want to join us. We have many great memories of Steve always had fun with him.
