Terry A. Mendenhall

Born March 8, 1940 in Miami, Oklahoma, Terry passed away on February 20, 2011. After graduating from Armijo HS the class of 1958 in Fairfield, CA he started out as a voluntary fireman for the city of Fairfield he would later volunteer and join the Army serving the country he so very much loved. His first station of duty was in South Korea working as a MP, during this time he met his wife Kum Cha, he would later serve a tour in Vietnam working for Protocol and held many other jobs during his prideful military career spanning 21 years, serving in: South Korea, Japan, Germany, Indiana, Colorado, Washington state, and The Presidio. He had a great love for the sport of Baseball and spent many years coaching youth Baseball. After retiring from the Army he started, "Mendenhall's Quails Nest" which supplied quail for restaurants throughout the West coast. He grew this business to be the largest supplier of quail meat on the West coast. After finally retiring from the," rat race" Terry became interested in genealogy and travelled the country researching his family tree, and along the way he met many distant relatives and made many new friends throughout the USA. Terry is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Kum Cha, his son Michael, and daughter-in-law Caren and three granddaughters: Gracie, and twins Lily and Leila, of Sacramento his sisters Jude Caulfield of Fairfield, Sue Simning of Vallejo, three nieces, two nephews, great nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles. Proceded in death by his parents Madge and Edward Mendenhall and brother Jon Mendenhall.
