Thomas Fowler Obituary
FOWLER, Sr., Thomas Calvin
Born in Kansas on Aug. 9, 1938, to Goldie Wilbur, then adopted and raised in California by George and Sussie Fowler. Loving husband of 50 years to wife Norma Jean Fowler. Beloved father of Deborah Boggs, Sandra and (Richard) Mayes, and Thomas Fowler Jr. Adored grandfather of Justin Mayes, Stacy and (Wade) Whitley, Carrie Mayes, David Boggs, and Samantha Fowler. The owner of Meat Shoppe in Orangevale for over 27 years, he was also a constant supporter of local youth programs and an active member of Model A Ford Club of America - Capital As Chapter. His kind spirit was laid to rest far too soon on March 19, 2006. It is with deep appreciation that our family would like to thank Dr. Sardar and the oncology staff of Kaiser Permanente in Roseville for the compassionate manner in which they cared for Thomas during this past year. Services to be held on Monday, March 27, at 2:00 PM Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane Fair Oaks, CA.

Just sitting here trying to type what tom and his family ment to me is one of the hardest things i could do. Tom treated me like i was family. Was always there for me. I loved this man and will never forget him or his family. To me Tom and his family will always be part of mine. Love you all, Pete

Tom was a wonderful man, who with Jean made a huge impact on Casa Roble's FFA while our daughter, Stephane was a part of it. I am proud to have worked with Tom and learned much about FFA, as well as parenting from him. I was especially proud of the youth he helped to inspire the year the kids made a float for the Pow Wow days parade for Tom and Jean to ride on as the royalty they represented to these young adults. May God watch over those left behind as He welcomes Tom to heaven.

Pop was such a great man! He was always so giving and helpful to everyone. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, friend, mentor and "boss".I will truly miss him, but I know he is now free from pain. I hope you all find comfort in the memories you have of him.
