Virginia Williams Obituary

WILLIAMS, VIRGINIA
SIMPSON
A loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed but lives forever in our hearts. Virginia was born December 21, 1921 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 16, 2002 after succumbing to complications following a stroke. She was a homemaker and free-lance writer who enjoyed travel, entertaining, bridge and sewing. She was the widow of Colonel David M. Williams (USAF). Virginia is survived by three daughters: Barbara Thorsen of New Canaan, CT; Cynthia Elie of Granite Bay, CA; and Wende Ramseur of Atlanta, GA; and seven grandchildren: Erika Thorsen Scott, Kari and Mark Thorsen, Brian and Greg Elie, David and Stefan Ramseur. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at 10:00 AM, Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd, Roseville. Private interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington DC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Hydrocephalus Association, 870 Market St, Suite 705, San Francisco, CA 94102, the Juvenile Diabetes Fdn (New Haven, CT branch) or Roseville Hospice.
