Bert was a great man. He was a fine example to me and his guidance and work ethic has affected my life for many years in a very positive way. On behalf of my family, we sincerely wish the best for the Gees and pray for God's comforting grace.

Bert was my father-in-law, but I considered him my California Dad. He was the most generous, giving, and god-loving man who loved his family. He was a hard worker and kept his father's legacy of owning and working grocery stores until he retired. Thank you, Bert, for all you've done for your family, friends, church and strangers throughout your entire life. We'll all miss you until we meet again in heaven.
