Ila Maynard Obituary
She was born on Oct. 6, 1934, in Ellicottville, daughter of the late John and Minerva (Moon) Gebauer.
She worked on her family farm and on the Linsler Farm in Ellicottville, before working at Fitzpatrick and Weller in Ellicottville, from where she retired.
Ila will always be remembered for her love of cats.
She is survived by a daughter, Laurie (Don Reed) Hurd of Little Valley; a brother, Robert (Candace) Gebauer of Great Valley; a sister, Betty Keyes of Great Valley; three grandchildren, Cheryl (Shawn) Winship of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Melissa (Kevin) Pilon of Little Valley and Wesley (Amanda) Hurd of Wattsburg, Pa.; as well as 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and by her special friend, Greg Baier of Little Valley.
Besides her parents, Ila Belle is predeceased by four brothers, Curt, Luke, Leon and Clinton Gebauer; a sister, Jean Chapman; and a brother-in-law, Blaine Keyes.
Private family services will be held.
Memorials may be made to the 10 Lives Club, 3741 Lake Shore Road, Blasdell, NY 14219.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley.
