Geraldine (Deannie) Nystrom Fish, 89, Cowgill, Mo., passed away at her home on Nov. 5, 2021. Her family moved to Cowgill in 1995 and previously lived in Silverton, Ore., and Spreckels, Calif.
Deannie was born on Oct. 20, 1932, in Warwick, N.Y., to Hilding Valfred and Ingrid Alice (Olsson) Nystrom. After graduation from high school she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Grant Tech in North Sacramento, Calif. She worked with children, taught English, was a historian and enjoyed genealogy research. She owned and managed a bookstore in California, most recently the Far West Country Bookstore locally. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. She and her husband were very proud of their almost 70 year marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ingrid; and granddaughter, Valerie Fish.
On Aug. 3, 1952, she married Frank Fish in Carson City, Nev. They celebrated over 69 years of marriage. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors: children, Cynthia Fish (Cameron, Mo), Jenny Doan (Hamilton), Tom Fish (Kearney, Mo), Melissa Staley (Mount Madonna, Calif.), Amy Hawk (Cowgill), and Nathan Fish (Cameron); and 125 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Cameron.
There is no formal, scheduled visitation.
Interment: The Kidder Cemetery, Kidder, Mo.
Friends may call on Friday, November 12, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.
