Aaron Carlton Wilson, 41, of Richfield, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the Novant Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. He was born July 27, 1982 in Rowan County, NC to Fred "Cotton" Carlton and Karen Barringer Wilson. Mr. Wilson attended East Rowan High School and graduated from BLET school. Aaron was a fantastic marksman, whom was top of his class. He loved the outdoors, guns, hunting and fishing. Aaron was former Rowan County Sheriff's Deputy and Police Officer for Granite Quarry Police Department and a volunteer fireman for Pooletown Fire Department in Richfield. In addition to his parents Fred "Cotton" Wilson and Karen Wilson, he is survived by his daughters, Destiny Martin and husband Andrew, Skylar Wilson; son, Connor Wilson; sister, Amy Rummage and husband Eric; mother of his children, Christian Wilson, and his best friends, Brian Ehlers and Justin Campbell. A celebration of life for Aaron will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, August 5, 2023, in the Powles Staton Funeral Home Chapel, Rockwell, NC, with his Uncle/Chaplain of the Salisbury Fire Department, Dan Peters, officiating.
