Adrienne McDermott Obituary
Adrienne C. McDermott (Lent), 83, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, at Gordon Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 17, 1942, in Hempstead, New York, Adrienne was the daughter of Madeline Woolsey and Albert Lent, both deceased.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John (Larry) McDermott; her great-granddaughter, Adrienne Estelle Josephine Koontz; her sisters Mary, Iris, Judy, Patricia, Marion, and her twin sister Audrey; and her brothers Al, Donald, Derek, and Billy. As the last of her siblings to leave this earth, Adrienne has now joined them in her heavenly home.
Adrienne dedicated her life to serving others. Whether working as a nurse, caring as a mother and grandmother, or offering the steadfast support of a sister and friend, she consistently placed the needs of others before her own. Her nurturing spirit, gentle strength, and boundless love touched countless lives.
She enjoyed simple joys--playing Scrabble and cards with her children and grandchildren, discovering new things on YouTube, and sharing laughter and stories with those she cherished. Her presence brought warmth and comfort to every room she entered.
Adrienne leaves behind her loving children: Jeffrey McDermott (Sandy) of North Norwich, NY; James McDermott of Watkins Glen, NY; John McDermott of Salisbury, NC; Yvonne Fox (Chuck) of Statesville, NC; Jessica Pruett (David) of Salisbury, NC; and Madelon Boldt (Brent) of Salisbury, NC.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Shane Thompson (Beth), Joshua Royce (Heather), Justin McDermott (Stacey), Nichole Koontz (Paul), Derek McDermott, Lonnie Fox (Cyrenea), Deven Pruett, Alysa Pruett, Lily Boldt, and Aaron Boldt; as well as her honorary grandson, Mark Brown. Her great-grandchildren--Kael, Gilbert, Addisyn, Isabella, and Hudson--brought her immeasurable joy and light.
Adrienne will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Her legacy of compassion, devotion, and unconditional love will continue to live on through those she so dearly treasured.
Rest in peace, Mom. xoxo
