Alvin Bernard Hall

1938 - 2019

Mr. Alvin Bernard Hall, 80, departed this earthly life on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center Hospice House. He was born July 17, 1938 in Rowan County to the late William Madison Hall Sr. and Bessie Morrison Hall. Mr. Hall was educated in the public schools of Rowan County and was a 1956 graduate of R.A. Clement High School, Cleveland and received his Associate of Science Degree from Los Angeles Trade Tech College and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from California State Poly Tech College. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a retired computer programmer. A member of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, he was preceded in death by brothers, William Madison Hall Jr. and Calvin Edsel Hall. He leaves precious memories to nephews that he considered as his sons, Marcus A. Jones of Gastonia, Derrick D. Hall (Judy) of Monroe, Stephen D. Hall (Chante) of Los Angeles, Calif. and Kevin M. Hall (Maleata) of Oceanside, Calif.; nieces he considered as daughters, Toya S. Hall of Durham and Katherine Ormond of Fayetteville; brother, Robert Nelson Hall(Grace) of Lancaster, Calif.; sister, Yvonne Hall Ormond of Fayetteville; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Arrangements: Services will be held Thursday May 2, 2019 at the A.R. Kelsey Memorial Chapel, Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. with visitation at 11:30 a.m. and funeral at 12 p.m. Military rites and burial will follow at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd. Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. is serving the family.
