Beulah M. Craven

1931 - 2019

Mrs. Beulah Louise Miller Craven, 88, died on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House. Born April 24, 1931 in Davidson County, Beulah was the daughter of Eugene Nunn and Josephine Miller. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, a former chairperson of the church kitchen committee, a member of Circle La'Fete Club and the Court of Calantha.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Craven Sr.; her daughter, Denise Craven; three grandchildren, Angela Craven, Sheldon Craven and She'Darrius Pate; a sister, Betty Nunn; and cousins raised as siblings, Hugh Bill Holt, Mary Wright, Annie Lucky and Jean Leverette. She leaves to cherish her memory her eight children, James E. Craven Jr., Robert (Katrina) Craven, Vanessa (Otis) Craven Williams, Carl (Beverly) Craven, Fredrick (Saundra) Craven, Clifton (Annette) Craven, Vanita Faye (Cedric) Boger and Eric Craven; three brothers, Eugene (Cynthia) Nunn, Rodney (Hope) Nunn and Tony Nunn; two sisters, Jean Rebecca Nunn  St. Preux and Ernestine Clauson; a special cousin, Theresa Simmons; 25 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother-in-law, Bobby Payne; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends. Service: Funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at Union Baptist Church at 2 p.m.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.  Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2019 at Roberts Funeral Service. At other times, the family will be at the home on Lincoln Ave., Lexington.
